Annual Leadership Summit
November 13-14, 2022 - Washington, DC

The ACCET Leadership Team and the Executive Committee of the Commission invite school owners, executives, managers, and prospective member institutions to join us in Washington, DC, for the 1st Annual Leadership Summit on November 13-14, 2022.

Participants will hear about the ACCET leadership's vision and strategic priorities, upcoming standards revisions, and new events and professional development offerings.

Presentations and Panel Discussions include topics such as the changing campus workplace, cybersecurity awareness and considerations for the online classroom, legislative & compliance updates, and an IEP update & roadmap. Participants will partake in a hands-on strategic planning workshop about shaping the blueprint for ACCET's future priorities and initiatives. The summit will conclude with an open forum with ACCET's leadership team. 

The Annual Leadership Summit is also a great networking opportunity to meet peers from all membership sectors and to build an active relationship with ACCET's Leadership Team.

The Annual Members Meeting will be held after the Leadership Summit.

This session is for vocational institutions. Kris Strom will present the latest information available on Student Loan Forgiveness, the Fresh Start Initiative, new federal regulations addressing 90/10 and other issues, including the implementation of the FAFSA Simplification Act.
Followed by a discussion on how students will be affected and a summary of recent Department guidance. The session will conclude with time for questions and answers.

IEP Update & Roadmap

An update and panel discussion for Intensive English Programs (IEPs), with a presentation about the industry as a whole and an EnglishUSA update on the relationship with ACCET over the years, including Department of Commerce funding to promote and support ELPs, initiatives relevant to ACCET constituents, enrollment data collection, and the evolution of EnglishUSA. Followed by a panel discussion on the role of professional associations and accrediting bodies – how they can intersect to support IEPs; the expectations of professional associations for the industry; and discuss innovative ways professional associations, ACCET and private language schools can collaborate.
