As a member institution, I am both honored and grateful that ACCET reaches out to its member institutions to provide feedback on priorities for ACCET. The Leadership Summit included significant engagement activities relating to these priorities that support the membership institutions and their students. The Leadership Summit serves as a “must attend” event to share and learn from fellow school operators and from what ACCET has seen in aggregate from members. One of Tim’s key takeaways from the Summit is that “all schools, regardless of type, shall many of the same challenges…by sharing and discussing these challenges, we learn from each other what works and what does not.” Participation in the Summit, Tim says, “is the strengthening of existing relationships and development of new connections."

Lauren looked forward to participating in the Leadership Summit to engage with a smaller gathering than the annual conference and the ability to engage more one-on-one with ACCET staff and colleagues from other member institutions. Richardson states, “The Summit allowed me to hear directly from ACCET leadership on the plans and direction for the organization and to consider how those plans impact and align with my institution. I was able to meet and network with colleagues from other member institutions, which I consider a major component of my professional development. The event format allowed plenty of time to engage with other institutional leaders and make important connections.”
